pedestrian way?

Holiday was gone. And now I start to study hard for the exam. My last holiday is not the best holiday in my life. I don’t know why, last holiday was the first time I feel so bored with Bandung.

There was a day when I go to BIP in Jalan Merdeka (Merdeka Street). I went to BIP  to watch movie. on the way to BIP, I trapped by the traffic in the crossroad between Dago Street and Merdeka Street. I saw there were a lot of illegal  street vendors on the pathway. That’s why the traffic happened.

Nowadays, people in Bandung are prefer to ride the motorcycle than walking  as pedestrian. Why? Because with motorcycle, people feel faster, easier, and more efficient to go to another place.

But I have the other reason. There is no pathway for  pedestrian!

Bandung have a lot of main street, such as Merdeka street. But I feel Bandung government didn’t try to revitalized the pathway. Most of the pathway is use for vendors, pedicabs, motorcycles, and cars parking lot.

The pedestrian can’t walk comfortable. They need to walked on the middle of the street, because the pathway can’t be through anymore. It can be a serious problem. The pedestrian will put them self in to a danger. Because, walking on the middle of the street can be an accident. Maybe (I hope not), they could be hit by a car or motorcycle.

I love Bandung very much. I just want Bandung can be an international city with well-organized city system.

Let’s make Bandung “BERMARTABAT – Bersih, Makmur, Taat, Bersahabat (Clean, wealthy, Obedient, Friendly)”!
